The Yolngu People are the traditional land-holders of North East Arnhem Land, Australia. Bay-Pay-mi talks about the Yonglu elder womenÕs connection to the land and all that it provides. The women talk about the importance of passing on cultural knowledge to the next generation.
It is an experimental piece, created in collaboration with the Yonglu Elder women.Bay-Pay-mi was created over a week, out in the bush in North East Arnhem land, Australia, It was created on a laptop connected to a generator.
